EXCLUSIVE! Terry Gilliam Says He Will Not Play Dwarf In Universal’s “Snow White”

August 16, 2011 Posted by Administrator

Source: Daily Telegraph

After reading this article from The Telegraph, especially the quote below, I couldn’t help but be curious if Terry Gilliam was indeed considering playing one of the dwarfs in the upcoming Universal version of Snow White starring Kristen Stewart. So, I decided to appease my curiosity and go to the source.

Universal is still pinning its hopes on a dream list of actors as Stewart’s dwarfs, including Sir Ben Kingsley, Gary Oldman, Bob Hoskins, and Terry Gilliam.

So this morning I contacted Terry Gilliam and asked him if he was going to play a dwarf in the upcoming film. He assured me that he is NOT. So, I am curious to see if Universal will pursue casting Sir Ben Kingsley and Bob Hoskins and if so, who they will find to fill the role they had hoped Terry would fill. Should be interesting.

EXCLUSIVE! I Ask Terry Gilliam If He’s Adapting “Mr. Vertigo” For The Screen

July 29, 2011 Posted by Administrator

Like all of you I have heard talk that Terry Gilliam was adapting Mr. Vertigo for the screen. I was, of course, curious if this was true or if it was a definite thing. So, this morning I asked Terry, it’s going around the internet that you are going to make a film of “Mr. Vertigo.” Is this true? Would you be doing this prior or after “Quixote” or do you know yet? His response was,

Just seeing if we can get a script that works then we’ll see what happens.

So, we have it straight from Mr. G. that he’s definitely seeing if he can get a script he likes and whether or not the project comes to fruition is yet to be seen. But, at this point it isn’t a definite project that he’s moving forward with, but rather in its infancy.

I’ll let you know when and if there is more info to come on this project as I receive the information.

EXCLUSIVE! Terry Gilliam Confirms To Us That He Will Not Have Role In New “Life Of Brian” Film

By Theresa Shell

This morning Terry Gilliam confirmed to me that he will not have a role in the upcoming BBC dramatization of the “unholy row” over Monty Python’s Life Of Brian. The film will focus on Monty Python’s battle with church, council and critics in their journey to get the film released. When I asked Terry if he would have any role in the film he replied, “I’m being played by someone else. A real actor. I haven’t seen the script.”

When I asked Terry if anything else was up at the moment he replied, in his most Gilliamesque manner “…Nothing more to report. I’m in Poland in Wroclaw at a brilliant festival. Otherwise my life is meaingless.” That’s our Terry!
